Hudson Place Realty
Hoboken
The land now known as Hoboken was purchased by Colonel John Steven in 1783. By 1820 Colonel Stevens began developing Hoboken’s waterfront into a resort locale. Now nicknamed the “Mile Square City” is a vibrant urban destination. The development of the waterfront continues and blends beautifully with many original buildings established by the first immigrants.
Hoboken can lay claim to not only the birthplace of baseball and Frank Sinatra but also home to top ranked Stevens Institute of Technology, Top 10 Great Streets for 2010 (American Planning Association, 2010), 12th best college town in the country (Princeton Review, 2010), and Top 10 urban parks in the country (Urban Land Institute). Hoboken is ideally located. She offers spectacular views of NYC and an easy commute as well. There is a variety of transportation options including Hudson-Bergen Light Rail, NJ Transit trains and buses, PATH trains and ferry.
